OUR MISSION

As teachers of the 21st century, it is our goal to prepare our students for success in a global environment. Our courses are designed to increase proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and listening. We aim to develop students' interpersonal, interpretive and presentational skills through a variety of authentic experiences and materials such as: authentic audio-visual and print materials, Skype, foreign exchanges, study abroad, museums, restaurants and plays. To help improve their understanding of the world they will also make connections as they compare and contrast cultural perspectives, products and practices between the United States and other cultures. Through the study of art, music, food, history, geography and the language itself, we hope to foster a love for other cultures in our students, and a desire to continue the study of world languages and to become global citizens.
